In this practical seminar, you'll explore two foundational workplace systems and acquire proven, results-oriented skills essential for thriving in a supervisory role. This seminar is ideal for first-level or newly appointed supervisors—and experienced leaders looking to sharpen their skills—this course combines real-world case studies, interactive exercises, and hands-on application to build your confidence and competence.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Understand and apply two key workplace systems that support effective supervision.
  • Identify and distinguish between the three basic supervisory styles.
  • Evaluate your dominant supervisory style through a self-assessment exercise.
  • Understand and apply five key attitudes for successful supervision.
  • Recognize common expectations and challenges from stakeholders and how to manage them effectively
  • Adapt leadership approaches to differences in employee generation and cognitive styles.
  • Develop best practices for supervising in hybrid work environments and diverse teams.

Scot is a seasoned professional in business administration and human resources. He has over 30 years of experience in performance management, conflict resolution, strategic planning, customer service, compensation strategies, and training and development. Scot has held upper management positions with profit and non-profit organizations in manufacturing, hospitality, charitable giving, and education. He has developed comprehensive training programs for organizations affecting all levels of employment including orientation programs, performance management, effective interviewing, employment law and supervision. Scot has a special aptitude in synthesizing complex situations and implementing effective strategies that work. Scot holds a B.S. degree in Management from Missouri State University.
