Successful marketing can be a challenge for small business owners. In this workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of marketing and explore marketing strategies designed for maximum impact. Learn how to leverage digital marketing, social media, content creation, and other innovative tools to build a strong presence in a competitive market. Whether you're just starting out or looking to enhance your existing efforts, this workshop offers practical insights and actionable steps to elevate your business to new heights.

Objectives:

  1. Understand Core Marketing Principles: Participants will learn the fundamental principles of marketing and how they apply to small businesses.
  2. Identify Target Audience: Attendees will be able to define and identify their target audience and understand their needs and preferences.
  3. Develop a Unique Selling Proposition (USP): Participants will learn how to create a compelling USP that differentiates their business from competitors.
  4. Understand Brand Strategy: Attendees will learn why having a cohesive brand strategy, including brand messaging, visual identity, and tone of voice is a crucial part of their marketing plan.?
  5. Leverage Digital Marketing Channels: Participants will explore various digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, mobile marketing, and content marketing, to reach their target audience effectively.
  6. Implement Cost-Effective Marketing Tactics: Attendees will discover budget-friendly marketing tactics that deliver high impact.
  7. Utilize Data and Analytics: Participants will learn how to use data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of their marketing efforts and make data-driven decisions.
  8. Develop a Marketing Plan: Participants will learn how to create a simple yet comprehensive marketing plan that outlines their goals, strategies, and tactics for achieving business success. This workshop will include a template that can be filled out during class.

Cost: $45 for OzSBI & Ava Chamber Members / $65 for non-members

Autumn Shirley is the Business Development Specialist for the Ozarks Small Business Incubator (OzSBI). She has also served as Chairperson of the Board, the Howell County CARES Grant Administrator, and as a certified Business Advisor through GrowthWheel, LaunchU, and We Love Mentors. Autumn is also the CEO of a software company called FundRaiser Software, as well as a sandals manufacturing company called Ozark Rope Sandals. She is passionate about helping businesses succeed by first identifying, and then connecting them to the resources that they need to “fill the gaps” and move forward. She co-owns FundRaiser Software with her husband Joshua, and together they are founding members of Ozark Regional Cats, a local nonprofit dedicated to reducing the feral cat population in West Plains through TNR programs and ongoing care. She has one daughter, Lily, the cutest granddaughter ever, several cats, one dog, an organic vegetable garden, and zero spare time.
