This workshop includes grant writing myths, jargon to avoid, steps to developing an effective proposal, where to seek funding and how to stay in the know about both government and foundation funding opportunities. This workshop is for anyone looking to write a grant, whether for a nonprofit organization or as a freelancer. Cost: $95 for OzSBI Members / $125 for non-membersFacilitated by: Heather Fisher, OzSBI CEOHeather Fisher, CEO of the Ozarks Small Business Incubator (OzSBI), will be teaching this workshop. Before working for OzSBI, Heather operated her own grant writing business, Heartland Strategies, for 10 years. Heather has successfully written grant proposals for community groups, nonprofit organizations, and government entities, has been awarded over $4.5 million in grant funds. Heather will be sharing her process for writing a winning proposal and the pitfalls to avoid. |
